not flowers who live and bloom in splendid
florid overt context
nor feathers shed which drift
snake skin, cocoons, containers,
fruit’s obvious temptations
irony since even the word
stasis moves but the breeze
is less than momentuhmmm
as the thought drifts verbless
involuntary
hello response complete with
echolalia la laughter
left drawing a bead
on pre-stretched canvas
Louise while waiting

the title sez it all…. tho i can’t help wondering using oils or watercolors on the palette and brush… and the killer line ..”..as the thought drifts verbless involuntary..” carries one thru…

Everything keeps moving – this is why I could never be an artist doing portraits.
‘irony since even the word
stasis moves’ – it does, doesn’t it – Ha! Love it.

You are the best poet of “nots” — I can see these flowers! (that are not …)
So many things rush into the empty space of not things, especially when you, Paul, are the words-master.
